_Tim and Stacy talk with Jennifer Daly. She is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for the Morton Economic Development Council and the Morton Chamber of Commerce, a position she began in June of 2008.
Prior to her appointment in Morton, Daly led the efforts of the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance, an organization in southeast Iowa that includes a Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Commission, and Main Street organization. During her 7 year tenure with the Alliance, Daly served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Iowa Community Vitality Center, Professional Developers of Iowa, and Healthy Henry County Communities. She was also an active member of TTT and the Rotarians.
Daly is the Co-Founder of the Iowa Children’s Museum in Iowa City, Iowa. She is a recipient of the Press Citizen Person of the Year Award for her accomplishments on this project.
Daly received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Iowa in 1993 and completed the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute in 2004. She is currently a Board Member for the Morton Branch of the American Association of University Women. Her family includes husband Tim, a Case Manager with Tazewell County Resource Center, and children Aidan, 7, and Nora, 4.
